Project 365- Day 11
My babies have been having such a wonderful summer being able to enjoy the pool and hot weather. But one side effect.....green hair from the chlorine! So, we had to do a treatment on her hair the other morning to bring it back to its usual beautiful blonde. This is Little Bit with her hair in a bag while blow drying. Isn't she a cutie? She is gonna be like her momma and LOVE the salon!

Corn....it's what's for Dinner!!!
Corn anyone?! LOL
Freezing corn is something that we love to do. Nothing is better than getting fresh corn out of the freezer whenever you want it and it tasting like it was just picked. Yum! So, I went to our friend's farm and picked up 20 dozen ears of corn for our family to freeze. By the end of the night we ended up with over 50 dozen ears of corn to shuck, blanch, cut off the ears, bag and freeze! Some of it is going to my Mom and Dad and some of it is going to my sister, so it is all worth it in the end, but boy was it a lot of work! It was a two day project. Teamwork really made this task go faster, though. I don't think we could've gotten it all done had we not worked together! Now I am just waiting for the next picking to come around so I can do it all over again! ♥
Canning Green Beans
The other day my sister came over and we canned 10 gallons of green beans. It ended up making 25 quarts. We had a lot of fun doing it and it is a super simple process and takes nothing more than some canning jars, seals, and lids(when purchasing the jars, you get all of these things) and then green beans, water and a pressure canner to make sure that the beans are free from the botulism bacteria. We will get another picking soon, so I can't wait to make another batch to keep in the pantry!
